Partner · Contract, commercial and corporate law, compliance
Before founding Zipse | Ludwig, I worked as a lawyer in the banking & finance and corporate law practice groups of a German commercial law firm, an international Japanese law firm and for a so-called Big Four company in Frankfurt am Main. Due to my recent work as an in-house lawyer in a FinTech company of the Visa Group, I am familiar with the requirements of legal advice from the client's perspective.
I focus on advising national and international companies in the areas of contract, commercial and corporate law as well as on compliance-related issues. I draw on my many years of experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts, particularly in light of increasing regulatory requirements.
My clients include large and medium-sized companies as well as strategic investors. I am fluent in Japanese and provide comprehensive support to Japanese companies in particular on market entry and exit as well as operational activities in Germany and Europe. I also regularly represent their interests in court.
Partner · Commercial and inheritance law, corporate law
I acquired my legal skills at an international law firm. Subsequently I worked as a partner in two medium-sized commercial law firms. In this role, I advised DAX and MDAX companies, private and public banks, medium-sized companies from Germany and abroad as well as investors, managing directors and private individuals and represented them in more than 600 civil proceedings.
As a lawyer, I primarily advise on issues of commercial and inheritance law. One of my main focuses is on corporate law, also taking into account the implications of insolvency law. If necessary, I also enforce my clients' interests in court.
My philosophy of legal advice is characterized by unconditional quality standards, tailor-made legal advice, personal contact with clients and, last but not least, the human element. I see my profession as a matter of trust that requires empathy for the interests of the parties involved and a corresponding level of commitment.

Before joining Zipse | Ludwig, I worked as a lawyer in the Employment & Benefits practice group of an international commercial law firm and as an in-house lawyer for employment law in group companies in the logistics and food industry.
Due to my many years of experience and specialization in employment law, I advise on all matters of individual and collective employment law. The main focus of my work is on advising and successfully implementing operational reorganization and restructuring measures, advising on issues of co-determination and representing companies and employees before labour courts.

We advise a leading group of companies in the luxury segment, which has become a market player operating throughout Germany within a very short time thanks to a consistent buy & build strategy. From the time the company was founded, we have advised it on all corporate and M&A-related issues, both strategic and legal, and supported it continuously in its dynamic growth.
Corporate · Dispute
For several years, we have been advising a Spanish group from the technology sector in ongoing disputes with a co-shareholder. By successfully obtaining legal assistance, including interim legal protection, we were able to save our client from losing its shares, among other things.
Commercial · Compliance
Our client supports financial services companies with tailor-made solutions that are optimized through cooperation with internal and external nearshoring partners. We advise both on the drafting of contracts with clients and with nearshoring partners. We advised a leading Japanese machine manufacturer on the transfer of its German business activities to a European sister company and the subsequent liquidation of the German GmbH. Our advice focused on employment and pension law issues in order to ensure a legally compliant and efficient implementation.

We represent a large number of Japanese machine manufacturers and sales companies in national and international legal disputes. By communicating in Japanese, we develop a deep understanding of the facts and interests of our clients. We consistently achieve strategic goals with our expertise in litigation law.
M&A · Compliance
We advised a strategic investor from Japan comprehensively on the acquisition of an insolvent company in the critical infrastructure sector. Our focus was on the investment review process and the structured interim financing of the target company until final approval by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
Commercial · Dispute
We supported a Japanese machine manufacturer in successfully asserting its claims under insolvency law. Thanks to our Japanese language skills, we were able to convey the facts and the special features of German insolvency proceedings directly to the decision-makers in Japan.
Corporate · Dispute
We successfully defended a shareholder of an insolvent GmbH against the insolvency administrator's claims for repayment in connection with shareholder loans. Thanks to our expertise in insolvency law, we were able to fend off the claims.
